A walking simulator horror game
The Cursed Tape is a premium first-person horror game and walking simulator with eerily immersive audio and spine-tingling, atmospheric visuals. It is developed by JustTomcuk, the creator behind There's Something In The Ice, Christmas Nightmare, and other indie horror titles.
The horror begins
After a mysterious individual slips a videotape under the door, you pick it up and insert it into a player, not knowing that you will be “transported” into the tape itself. The blood and gore in The Cursed Tape leave you terrified, whereas the sound effects intensify the tension.
With perfectly executed jumpscares, this game will keep you paranoid of what’s lurking in its claustrophobic corners. The puzzles and math problems also complement the gameplay. Since there are no menus, you can close the game by using the starting area door or pressing the Alt and F4 buttons.
Immersion done right
The Cursed Tape leverages sound, atmosphere, and depictions of blood and gore to plunge players into an immersive, bone-chilling horror experience. Complete with puzzles, math equations, and jumpscares, this game will keep you on edge throughout your playthrough. The lack of menus, though, is a turn-off for some players.
